When:  Saturday, February 20th from 10 AM to 5 PM.  You do not need to attend the entire time, though it is recommended.

Where:  At the Islamic Association of Greater Detroit (AKA Troy Masjid, address below).

Why:  To educate Muslims in America about a certain issue that we must face, being getting the youth more involved in activities.

Theme/Topics:  InshaAllah the theme will be Perfecting Character: the Islamic Persona.  Some topics will include Keeping a Lid on it, Masking Imperfections, and Seeking Forgiveness.  This year’s YouthDay was based off the Prophetic hadith: “Whoever guards his tongue, Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever restrains his anger, Allah will withhold His punishment from him on the Day of Judgment. And whoever apologizes to Allah, Allah will accept his apology.”

Speakers:  Imam Abdullah Madyun of Chicago and Br Zeeshan Bhutti have been confirmed to speak. InshaAllah Sr Shazia Siddiqi will be holding a special Youth Activism session during the YouthDay as well.
